WHAT KIND OF HEAT TREATMENT DOES MINERAL MOUNTAIN USE?
MMHW torch hardens the edges up to the grind line, then uses an oven draw to create the temper. All tools are oil quenched. These are tough, real working tools!
HOW HARD IS THE STEEL IN THE KNIVES/SWORDS/AXES?
All tools rate ~58 on the Rockwell C scale. Axes and cleavers are ~56.
5160 spring steel.
Unless indicated otherwise, handle scales are either natural or black [your choice] canvas phenolic.
Unless indicated otherwise, all tools are hollow ground. Convex or traditional axe grind available on most axes.
ARE THERE ANY OTHER FINISHES AVAILABLE?
Each item comes with a black parkerized finish, but bead-blast finishes are available upon request.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO GET MY ORDER?
It depends on how busy the shop is. Generally, knives, axes and swords are finished and shipped within 3-4 weeks.
HOW MUCH IS SHIPPING?
Shipping is FREE via insured USPS Priority Mail within the USA only. We will ship to Canada and some other international locations as well as APO/FPO addresses.

MMHW products are guaranteed for life against defects in materials or workmanship. We will repair or replace [at our option] any defective merchandise at no charge. Please contact us via email or phone for return instructions.
Returns for any other reason cannot be handled solely via phone and must be approved by MMHW via email. The email request for return must be received within 5 working days of delivery. A copy of our approving email must accompany the return. Accepted returns will be charged a minimum 20% restocking fee and original shipping cost.
